I click “allow” on my phone to unlock/reset apple ID password, but it doesnt do anything.
Ive been wrestling with this for an hour. I tried to sign into another apple ID I have to update an app, it said I wasnt inputting the right password and so it locked my account on my ipad.
I proceeded to type in my phone number and it said a message would pop up on my phone with further password reset instructions- I clicked “allow” waiting for the instructions apple said would pop up, but nothing happened or popped up at all. the message just went away.
I have also used the apple ID codes sent to my phone number only for it to either bring up the “allow” “dont allow” message again or for an error to occur.
this is very odd, because I somehow managed to log onto the app store using this apple ID on my PHONE (using one of the passwords apple said was incorrect, ironically) but it still says the ID is locked on my ipad.
im assuming this is a glitch on apples behalf and im not sure how to fix it. ive restarted my phone about 3 times, closed out of apps, nothing is helping.
