Keychain Access app screens is transparent/blacked out.

How to get to see the Keychain Access screen on Macbook Pro? I am the admin user on my Macbook and I am not able to see the screen/windows of the Keychain Access app when I launch it. I have the Keychain icon in the Dock tray. If I click "Show All Windows" in the context menu, I see the "Keychain Access" words in white on the screen but not the actual app, it is invisible. Also, I see the menu items in the menu bar (i.e File, Edit, View, Window, Help). How can I see the screen/windows of the app?

Hi diamonyx,

Thanks for reaching out through Apple Support Communities. We're here for you! Let's go over all options together to get Keychain Access appearing as expected.

To start, let us know if you've had a chance to restart your MacBook Pro. If not, please do so now. Here's a guide with the recommended steps:

Log out, sleep, wake, restart, or shut down your Mac - Apple Support

If the issue persists after restarting, let us know if it also occurs if you start up your Mac in safe mode. This guide explains how to test in safe mode:

How to use safe mode on your Mac - Apple Support

Safe mode is a great way to isolate an issue to some installed login item, as it prevents installed software from loading automatically at launch. If you're able to use Keychain Access without issue in safe mode, but find that the same unexpected behavior returns when you start up normally, you'll want to test your login items next.

This guide will walk you through the process:

Remove login items to resolve startup problems on your Mac - Apple Support

We're here for you if you've got any questions.

Have a great day!
