Did I damage my Macbook Air by accidentally turning it back on seconds after shutdown?

After I properly shutdown My M1 Macbook Air, I accidentally turned it back on seconds later as I was trying to disconnect the charger from the Macbook. I should’ve closed the lid after the macbook shutdown but I didn’t.

my question is

Did I damage my Macbook by doing this? I would greatly appreciate the help

MacBook Air 13″, macOS 11.4

You haven't. When a modern Mac starts up it automatically runs a quick diagnostic and takes any necessary action. But in any case once it's shut down, it's shut down, and it makes no difference whether you reboot it immediately or go on holiday for a month before rebooting it. Your concerns might have had some basis a decade or more back when computers had cathode-ray tubes, but not now.

Oh really? The reason Im worried is that Ive always been told that turning a computer back on so soon after a shutdown (especially seconds after!!) will damage the internal hardware of the computer like the hard drive.

I know Mac and PCs are different but they’re both still electronics

Really? Is this a recent thing with Mac/PCs because, again, I’ve always been told that starting up a PC/Mac immediately after shutting it down would either damage the software and/or the hardware.

Apologies if I’m being persistent but I don’t want the thought of having damaged Macbook.
