could not cancel HBO max subscription , why?

Tried cancelling my monthly HBO max subscription and keep on getting " your request could not be completed" message.


WHY?

iMac 27″, macOS 11.4

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities. It's our understanding that you're receiving an error when trying to cancel a subscription on your device. We're here to help.


This error could be caused by network connection. Make sure that you have a strong Internet connection. Test the issue while connected to a different network, if possible.


If the issue persists, check our System Status page to see if there is an outage for service in your area.


Let us know the results. Tell us more about the device you're using. Be sure to include any troubleshooting steps that you may have already tried.
