disabled after screen broke

my screen broke and I couldnt enter my password. I know my password, but trying to enter it with cracked screen got me to the "iphone is disabled" message.

Can I do anything? Screen has been repaired.

I wish Apple would have said you have only a limited number of attempts before your phone is disabled! I would have waited until I got my new screen!

Now its not on itunes, no backups. Can't even see how to proceed.
