Watch cannot connect to AT&T cellular data

I got a new 3rd gen watch 2 months ago and every time I try to set up cellular data, I enter my AT&T login information and get "loading- may take up to 30 seconds to load..." (spoiler: it never loads). I have tried multiple times in different Wifi networks, have restarted my phone, watch, app numerous times and nothing changes. AT&T swears it's an issue with the watch. Any ideas???

This includes ensuring both your paired iPhone and Apple Watch are fully updated, as well as the carrier setting on your pair iPhone. If needed, you can check for any carrier updates here: Manually update your carrier settings on your iPhone or iPad


If the issue continues you can test erasing your Apple Watch and pairing again:
