Why am I getting this error message

I am trying to sync - for the first time - my iPhone 12 (iOS 14.6) with my iMac running OS 10.15.7, I have my iPhone 12 (first time connected to a hub that is connected to my iMac and second time, I connected the iPhone 12 directly to the iMac), each time I get a message that says - "Trust's iPhone 12" to sync this computer with your phone click trust, then tap trust on your device (iPhone 12). When I do I get an error message, "Trust Request error (0xE8000003) - attached the error message

Why am I getting this error...... Need some help,

Well, there are miracles 😎, on Tuesday I wrote

"Thank you for your response, have already tried this, I have restarted my iMac, I have hard reset my iPhones and iPads, nothing. If my computer and iPad had been trusted and i could sync before Monday 7/19. Why am i asked "trust" the iPad and get the error..... have not found anything that really addresses the issue of the error message.

Well last night I was going to try something else related to a Photo Editing Software I have, I open it up and before I did what I had planned, I attached my iPad (which was getting the same error message) to my iMac and clicked on Trust expecting the same error message - low & behold, the iPad and iMac trusted each other, so I backed up and synced everything, then I tried my new iPhone 12, my wife's new iPhone 12 and her iPad and low & behold the all trusted my iMac. So to make sure I just connected my new iPhone 12 to my iMac and it is Syncing..

I do get a message the my iPhone need to have it's iOS updated, which it doesn't, i am not touching the update button.

Thanks to all for your advise and help

I have been able to determine it has something to do with my computer, we just recently upgraded our iPhones from iPhone XR to iPhone 12. thought it was the new phone; however, when I tried to sync my iPad which I have done numerous times before, got the same error. so it is logical to assume something has changed on my computer, my last update was for iMovie, have two security upgrades for Safari.

Another interesting fact, I made sure all my devices had our new "iCloud" password to include my iMac, now my iPhone 12s and iPads no longer produce the "trust or don't trust" popup. They are recognized by my iMac since they do show up under locations in finder...

So hopefully someone on this forum can give some guidance.

I do have a question, would upgrading to "Big Sur" possibly help?
