What to do?
I downloaded 14.7 and the Face ID doesn’t work and it won’t reset.
Have you restarted since the update? Have you tried a Forced Restart?

Yes and no. Tried a number of times by turning off and on. I’ll try the hard reset.
Forces reset did not work.
Finally started to work the next day.
