What kind/sort of “hub”?
Also, a little hard to advise and help you when you provide NO information about your iPad.
Here are my questions to you.
What year and model iPad do you have/own?
The “A” model number can be found on the aluminium back of your iPad, in small print, right under the larger bold print “iPad”.
What iOS/iPadOS version is this iPad, currently, running?
What is the rated, internal data storage space/capacity of your iPad model and how much of this free, internal data storage capacity is left inside of your iPad model?
All of that additional info can be found in the Settings app, General settings panel, About.
Please attempt to answer all questions asked.
Thank You.
Look, do you want help with this issue, or not?
You posted this question.
Do you already own an iPad, or not?
Why are you asking this and why have you refused to answer any of queries?
Do you want to learn the answer to this, or not?
Here is my attempt at an answer for you, anyways.
Taking my best shot at solving this.
If you are asking about using a USB style hub with an iPad ( and NOT using an iPad as some sort of media hub )
You need an iPad model that capable of running iPadOS 14 for reliably using a USB hub.
For a most reliable USB hub use, this means a 2018-2021 iPad Pro models OR a 2020 iPad Air 4.
iPads with a proprietary Apple Lightning connector can be used with some USB hubs, but must be used with a connection to an external power source to work with any reliability and power can be an issue through a Lightning port connection as the Lightning connection has limited power for multiple external inputted devices.
That's my answer.
I hope this helped and I really wish you had been more forthcoming with the information that I asked for and really needed.
This happens from time to time here.
Posters want help, but seem to not want to provide the important information that is needed to be able to help them with their device questions/issues.
If they would just provide this info, they would get proper help, advice, answers and possible solution/s they need or seek.
Why did you mark this post solved?
You never answered my question so I or anyone here can help you with your query.
That was worth an easy 10! Strange how that happens.
Amen.
