After updating to IOS 14.7, my battery is draining so fast. In 12 minutes of after fully charged, battery dropped to 89%. My battery health is 99% now.

I'm not ruling out a battery drain problem, but you can't judge battery drain related to a new iOS version within a day of the installation. Every update has some housekeeping to do (varies by update) which takes a lot of cpu time and thus a lot of battery draw, and generates heat. Variables include what needs to be done and how much stuff is on your phone. For example, an update with only some security fixes may only need a few minutes to do its after update chores, while the update a few years ago that changed how each photo was stored and indexed took many hours on a phone with a lot of photos.
For this 14.7 update, on my old iPhone 7 with little on it, it used close to 100% cpu time for several hours and got quite warm. But the next day it was fine. My iPhone 11 went quite a bit faster and also was fine the next day. I didn't try to run from the battery or draw any conclusions about battery draw (or performance, since a lot of cpu usage elsewhere can make the phone feel sluggish) until at least the next day.
When I do updates, I take the case off so heat can dissipate better, insure the battery is fully charged, back up the phone, reboot the phone, then with the phone plugged into a charging block, do the update and then leave it connected to the charger until the phone has cooled down to room temperature for at least a few hours, and then keep it on the charger as much as I can for the next 24 hours.
Yes! I updated it right away the next day. But my battery is really draining fast now. It’s really upsetting. I shouldn’t have updated it had I known it would degrade my battery life!
having same problem with iphone 11 since updating to ios14.7 battery drains very fast and my battery health has dropped from 99 to 96% the issue persists even after updating to newer ios 14.7.1

which device you using and your device is updated on ios 14.7.1 or not?
I have to keep my phone plugged in or it doesn’t last now and Face ID doesn’t work have reset it each day
yeah exactly i never had to do anything before the battery just lasted on its own and now it’s garbage. so disgusted with apple now
14.7.1 has radically changed the battery life on my iPad Pro. I need to charge just bout every day now. I have turned off just about every function and it is still happening. this is disheartening

Yes. I regret updating my iPhone. Should have stayed on 14.4.2 which came with the phone.
My battery goes from 95 to 30 percent in in a few hours! I have reset my phone that helped so it stays on in the day but I have to keep it on the charger it takes 12 hrs to charge not sure why but happened after the update! I have my phone to 100 percent now at 11:45 pm and by 5 am it’s dead and has not been touched nothing running! My phone is not dependable till this is resolved.
I am one of the first writers of the problem. It’s been more than a week and the problem still persists… Apple owes us a solution or a new battery… Why don’t they let me go back to 14.3… that’s ridiculous…
Also guys… just telling…. i have tried erasing all content and settings and setting my phone as a new one… it doesn’t work
