Apple 4K TV browser

Apple 4K TV browser is necessary not so you can browse the Internet, but when you travel and want to use your Apple TV in your hotel room most require to connect to their Internet a web browser and agree to terms and conditions and enter their password. Without a browser you cannot connect your Apple TV to the hotels Wi-Fi, nor Internet. Your Apple 4K TV is useless. And you cannot mirror from your iOS devices to the Apple TV either. I tried it numerous hotels and it cannot be done.

Only one hotel could I directly connect to the Wi-Fi because it doesn’t require a browser to connect, but it was in a different Caribbean country.

Yes, that is the default method for authentication on the hotel network. You would have to contact someone at the hotel and they will assist you in connecting the Apple TV to the network a different way. If you aren't having luck it is because they can't be bothered and not because it isn't possible. However, as I said even then there are hotels that can still block other features like airplay.

As I said, it isn’t something you can do yourself. Either the hotel staff or by contacting the Internet service provider. The only info you may need is the MAC address for the Apple TV, which can be found under network settings.

Browsers do not give adequate experiences on TV platforms, the easy workaround is simply to contact someone at the hotel so they can assist in connecting to the network another way. However, hotels can also block other functions like airplay.

Tried the hotel staff a few times, if there was another way to connect with their Internet, and there is not. Unless you get lucky and they allow you to connect to their administration or staff Wi-Fi, and that happened one time. They all have that interface when connecting to the Wi-Fi where a webpage presents itself, and usually you enter your hotel room and a password, or similar such information. It cannot be done without a web browser. Only if the connection is Direct like your connection at your home network. Best, Seth

Glad to hear that. The people I requested assistance either didn’t know how to do it or didn’t want to as you say. Can you explain hear what the procedure is, please. If I know how to do it I can tell them that so they can’t go into denial and blow me off

I even asked if I could connect to their staff or hotel Wi-Fi directly as it showed up as another Wi-Fi spot, but they wouldn’t give me the password. I can’t see how you can bypass the hotel using a webpage unless you install a browser on an Apple TV, which is possible; but a real pain in the neck and not sanctioned. Best, Seth
