Find owner of lost iPod

I found an iPod. It charges and it has been registered to an Apple ID. How can I contact the owner?

You don't.

Apple is not able to supply you with contact details for an owner, or to return it to an owner on your behalf.

You should hand the iPod into the relevant authority, according to where you found it.

    • If you found it on the street or a public area, hand it into the nearest police station to where you found it
    • if you found it in a public building, railway station, bus station, school etc., you should hand it into their Lost Property office or their site manager
    • if you found it on an aircraft, hand it into the airline's representatives
    • if you found it anywhere else, then as with the above suggestions, hand it into the location's Lost Property office or a manager

The most obvious thing for an owner to do is to enquire at the Lost Property offices, or of those managers, in the place (or places) where they last had their device, to see whether the lost item has been handed into them.
