Hi, suzan153,

The error message is telling you that there is corruption in frame No. 8088. Usually it is a black frame. So, you need to use the slider located above and to the right of the timeline to expand out your timeline fully. Then scroll in the area around frame No. 8088, looking for black frames, white flashes, artifacts, and any other signs of corruption. Cut out any that you find and try exporting again.

To locate frame No. 8088 divide 8088 by the frame rate of your project to get the location in seconds of the frame. So, if your frame rate is 30 fps, divide 30 into 8088 = 269.6 seconds, or 4.49 minutes. If you want to preserve your original video you can make a duplicate of the project and work with the duplicate.

Another thing, is that sometimes deleting preferences will cure the issue. It is easy to do, and you might want to start with that first. To delete preferences, open iMovie while holding down the Option and Command keys and select to delete preferences in the box that appears. iMovie will open in a new library. Reopen your old library to get back to your projects.  Deleting preferences is a safe procedure that will not cause data loss or disruption to your project. Now see if you can export without getting the error message.
