Chrome won't Launch with Big Sur

I now require Chrome to run some of my programs. I downloaded and installed Chrome

without any problems, but it won't launch. I tried uninstalling, rebooting, re-installing, etc. but nothing

worked. Chrome just won't open. It flashes in the program bar as if it is launching then disappears. I've checked and it is not running in the background. Any suggestions would be welcomed.
