Apple One Premier upgrade question

I've read everything in Apple support and I've searched on this forum and I'm still confused. Please help! (And please don't just send me to an article on the Apple Support site. I've read those!)

My husband uses his Apple ID as the organizer of our family sharing plan. We use my Apple ID for iCloud storage. We want to upgrade to Apple One Premier. Will we still be able to use my Apple ID for storage and his ID for media subscriptions? Or does everything have to be consolidated into one ID?

AND, please assure me that if we upgrade, all of my iCloud files and photos will remain intact and accessible.

Thank you!

Hi PennyBoo,

Thank you for participating in the Apple Support Communities. If you have the Apple One Family or Premier plan, you can use Family Sharing to share all included Apple services with up to five other family members. And Apple TV+ and Apple Arcade always include Family Sharing, even in the Apple One Individual plan. They way Family Sharing works is, one adult in your family, the organizer, invites all the other members to join and sets up accounts for anyone under 13. Once family members join, Family Sharing is set up on everyone’s devices automatically. The group then chooses which services and features they’d like to use and share. Here's a link to with more information on Family Sharing. You can also check out What happens to your iCloud storage plan when you sign up for Apple One.

Have a great day.
