5G SIM card not working in iPhone XR

Can someone please help me I switched my phone to the 5G sim with boost mobile then when I did my husbands his phone says sim not supported

The iPhone XR is not capable of working with a 5G signal. It may work with LTE.

if you get the error that the SIM card is not supported then that means that the iPhone is locked to the carrier that it last worked on. You will need to contact that carrier to find out the requirements to unlock the iPhone.

Huh. The reason I purchased the XR 2 years ago was that it was promoted as 5G capable/ready. What gives?

Whomever promised you was wrong. iPhone XR is not 5G capable. It is 4G and LTE capable.
