Apple ID password required on each app update

After changing the setting on my “media & purchases” password setting by unchecking the “always require password”, in the apps update, it is still asking for my apple id password for each app to be updated.

Yes I tried restarting my phone, then I signed out and signed back in in the app store…still the problem persists.


Should there be a sequence of how I should do it?
