Turn Off Two Factor Authentication No Confirmation Letter

I was just tricked into turning on TFA.

Apple says;

If you recently updated your account, you can unenroll within two weeks of enrollment. Just open your enrollment confirmation email and click the link to return to your previous security settings.

However, no such "confirmation email" was received. Now what?

PS: PLEASE DONT REPLY UNLESS YOU HAVE A SOLUTION THAT EITHER GETS THE CONFIRMATION LETTER SENT OR KNOW OF ANOTHER MEANS TO TURN OFF TFA. THANK YOU!!!!!!

PSS: No, I do not want TFA because I travel internationally without two devices and use prepaid. Did you think of that Apple? I will gladly forgo whatever service will no longer work without TFA.

Thanks but your post is irrelevant to my question.
I am in the USA where I am supposed to get the confirmation email.
It's really sad when big brother Apple wont even play by their own rules.

Yes, I have a feeling that the confirmation letters are no longer sent out anywhere now. Doesn't matter because you need 2FA to function in the Apple ecosystem.

Use the security you are being offered or go for an unsecured Android. Your choice.

  1. You must use 2FA to get access to most of the secure areas of your account
  2. The confirmation email and 2 week grace period often does not apply to countries outside USA, like my own country UK. We have no choice. Once you sign into an Apple device using your new AppleID you have 2FA turned on. That's it.

Unless you sign into your Apple Account on an untrusted device - like someone else's computer - you will not be asked for codes.
