Question

"Me" on apple watch is assigned to wrong person

I recently bought a new Apple Watch SE GPS+Cellular for my daughter; she does not have her own cell phone yet.

I have it paired with my iPhone 12 pro, and have set up her contacts, etc. For whatever reason when I view her contacts it shows "me" next to my wife's contact.

I have my daughter built into the iCloud with an iCloud address and also have added her watch cell number to her contact name.

How can I get "me" to be under my daughters name vs. my wife?

When I say I have it paired with my phone I meant that by doing this step:

Hold the watch near your iPhone

Hold the Apple Watch close to your iPhone. Wait until "Use your iPhone to set up this Apple Watch" appears on your iPhone, then tap Continue. If you don't see this message, open the Watch app on your iPhone, tap All Watches, then tap Pair New Watch.

Tap Set Up for a Family Member, then tap Continue on the next screen.
