cant download apps in app store

up to 2 weeks ago, everything was fine with my new phone (iphone 12 pro) but i cant seem to download apps anymore. when i press “get” on the app, the loading icon appears for a few seconds and then it goes back to the original “get”, and won’t download. how can i fix this,
