Where can I buy a good A1185 battery?

I get more and more confused trying to find out where to order a good A1185 battery for my MacBook notebook. I am grateful for the informative warnings about qualities and fraudulent sellers that I have found here so far.

Does anyone know if, having been cautioned, there only remains to chance buying one and hoping for the best?

Do apple representatives read the informative and helpful feedback? If so, can they provide helpful advice in matters like this?

Thanks and Good Wishes

It is going to be difficult finding a good battery for an older Mac. The quality of third party Lithium-ion batteries is extremely poor even when purchased from a reputable vendor.

You best option is probably OWC or iFixit.

Wow! I'm surprised you were able to remove that swollen battery without damage to the laptop and that the battery did not damage the Trackpad.

I'm glad it worked out.
