My iphone 12 pro max is getting synced with my surface Book 2. My iphone X used to.

my iphone 12 pro max is not syncing with my surface book 2. I can not download photos from my iphone to laptop.

I have done everything that has been told to do when my iphone and macbook photos are not syncing. I'm frustrated Why isn't my iphone syncing to my MacBook Pro. I have checked and the internet is on for both devices. The Icloud photos is on both. It is totally crazy. I'm at a loss what to do before taking it to the apple

Connect iPhone to Computer
