Using SSH in Terminal on Macbook M1

I've been using ssh extension for a few years now. It's on and off in my windows machine but it doesn't seem to work on a Macbook M1 I got recently. I see the extension is using Native Client and that planned to go away later this year but I am not sure if it's already been removed from Mac M1 version or if it is something else breaking it?

It was supposed to work and I don't understand why M1 should use its own terminal instead of the terminal in Chrome extension when in fact, both use the same version but the difference is windows machine is x64 and Mac M1 is ARM64. It works perfectly on a windows machine why not in M1.
