How do I keep time always visible. Tried many times without success. Face always black unless I tap.
You would have to at least have the fifth series apple watch. If you have any series before that it will not work.
What watch do you have?
Always on is available on the Series 5 & 6
I have a new Apple 6 and I have “always on” turned on on watch and phone app. The face is black and requires a tap to show time.
I have a new 6. It has “Alway on” and is turned on. Still have a black face.

I cannot find theatre mode. Isn’t on the phone.
I don’t see Control Center either on the watch. I will call Apple for help, I guess.
Check to see if you have theatre mode turned on and turn it off;
Swipe up on the watch face and you will see the 2 mask icon that I posted above.
