IPad third generation
I forgot my login password to access my iPad. Although I have followed online instructions I cannot erase the password for logging into my iPad.
please advise

If you forgot your Apple ID password - Apple Support
Doing this procedure will erase and fully reset your iPad. If you never made any backups of the data on this iPad, then all the data on this iPad will be gone forever.
