dark background on ms word page

when i work with ms word on macbook air, suddenly the background turns dark. How to restore to original (default)?

It appears that the pages you open in MS Word for Mac are completely black. You'd like to go back to the original, and we're glad to provide assistance.


Newest Mac Current Channel (Preview) Release Notes -- According to this article, this is a new feature Microsoft has added. To go back to a white background on documents, choose Word > Preferences > General and choose either "Turn off Dark Mode" or "Dark Mode has a white page color".
