I was using safari on my iPhone and an iOS system popup appeared saying that the app “Agility” needs to be updated by the developer. There were two options, keep and delete. I clicked keep. When I returned to the homescreen there was a new app on my phone called “Agility” that I never installed. I was never in the App Store. Never heard of this app before.
Is it possible for a website to auto install an app? Seems bad.

So the best course of action is to restore your iPhone from a backup made prior to this event - but you will loose anything you've done since then - or try deleting the "app" by long pressing it and taping Remove App.

Well, the good news is that you got rid of it. Now, as to the reason why it got there, I simply can't understand. Maybe some other contributors can share their thoughts on the matter.
In any case, when browsing, if you see any such popups, do ignore them by closing the web page and not going to that website ever again.
They are not installed now, but if you have another device on the same apple ID they will auto-add

I deleted the app by long pressing it and tapping the X button, like normal. But that doesn't explain how it got there in the first place. It was definitely installed without me entering the App Store. Not jailbroken.
Hello, I have the same problem every morning I see atleast 1 unknown app on my homescreen. All I know is that the apps are installed trough App Store.
All of those apps auto installed on my phone
