Why can't you change the time without an iPhone?

I just want to state that the point of having a watch is to tell the time. It is not possible to change the time on the apple watch without an iphone... I'll explain it again. A $200+ watch is unable to tell the time. This is absolutely an oversight and needs to be addressed because it's a watch. An easy way to fix this would be to add a feature to manually adjust time zone and/or add more than 59 minutes to the current time. I say add more than 59 minutes because currently there is an option to adjust the time forward or backward but only 59 minutes... I used to have an iphone but i switched to Android. I wanted to get the newest version of the apple watch but now that I see this is STILL a problem for even the newest watches I will not.

Your Watch gets is time from the iPhone's carrier. Since you decided to get rid of the iPhone, which is a requirement for the Apple Watch to function correctly, you cannot adjust the time. I'm sorry you are disappointed, but the Watch & iPhone work together. The setting that you mention about adjusting the time on the Watch is not for making up for an incorrect time display, it has to do with you wanting to set the Watch slightly ahead or behind for people that link to do that with their time keeping devices versus the national standards time. You are more than welcome to provide feedback to Apple if you wish for them to know of your disappointment. Click here, www.apple.com/feedback/watch.html
