Apple Notes Folders

I have folders set up in AN on my Macbook/iCloud, but I've never been able to get the folders to show up in Notes on my iPhone. I've been on the phone with Apple "Support" 3-4 times, but no one was able to help me. Does anyone out there have AN folders that sync between your Macbook and iPhone?

Yes, me. I've occasionally had problems with syncing. Temporarily turning off Notes/iCloud sync may help. Try this on your iPhone:

Tap Settings > [your name] > iCloud > Notes > Turn Off > tap Delete from My iPhone (Don’t worry, it won't delete your notes completely from iCloud.) Wait a few seconds. Then in that same iCloud Settings pane: Notes > Turn On. Wait a few seconds. ...Open Notes app.

All my notes are in folders. When I open Notes app, every entry in the displayed list consists of a yellow folder icon on the left with its name to the right.

...What surprises me though is that none of your 3-4 calls to Apple "Support" resulted in what I've suggested. For extra caution, consider checking with Apple "Support" regarding my suggestion.
