My payment method is being declined in iTunes Store

The debit card I’ve used for years in for my iTunes now says the payment method can not be used in the iTunes Store? Does anyone know why?

If your address for this payment method has changed, make sure to update it in your Apple ID settings.


Remember: Apple needs the most up-to-date information to process purchases.


If your address has not changed, make sure the card isn't expired, additionally make sure you don't owe Apple any money (such as missed subscriptions, payments, etc).

Hello! You'll usually receive an email from Apple regarding debt on your Apple ID account, if you haven't received this message, do the following...


Remove the card from your Apple ID.

Re-add the card with the most up-to-date information.
