trouble in resetting macbook

I want to sell my macbook and try to reset it to factory setting using steps provided online. I think I made a mistake in some steps because and then everything is black. Then I tried to open it using terminal and disc utility, it seems okay until I failed also to reinstall macOs.

What should I do? Thank you.

Option-Command-R during startup until you see the spinning world. Choose your Wi-Fi network and then type your password.

Once you are in Recovery Mode you need to format your hard drive using "Disk Utility", then you go to "Reinstall macOS Big Sur" to perform the installation of the OS.
