Cracked screen

My daughter has just dropped her 7th gen iPad and cracked the screen. Is there a cheaper fix than the £246.44 cost? Could the screen be replaced? The iPad itself is under a year old.

iPad, iPadOS 14

No.

If you purchased that iPad without the foresight to pay for extended, two-year+, AppleCare+ warranty plan, then the limited, free, one-year AppleCare ( NO + sign ) warranty DOES NOT cover ANY user abuse or accidents/damage to the device.

Paid extended AppleCare+ covers any user damage with a small replacement device fee of $49 U.S.D..

Without extended AppleCare+, the same replacement device is going to cost you £245 which is approx. 60% of that iPad’s original cost.

Sorry, but it is what it is.

Apple and Apple Store locations DO NOT repair iPads but ONLY offer device replacements to expedite speedy customer service

.

Again, Sorry.
