I have an old ipod which is approx 4cm square. I have let the battery run down too far so now it will not charge and is asking me to restore my music. How do I do this?

You restore the iPod by connecting it via its charging cable to iTunes on the PC or mac that holds its music library. iTunes should start automatically upon recognizing the connection of the iPod.
