i went to set my alarm and why do i have the words you and I above the numbers - ivcant get to the zero. very annoying

First try a forced restart

Press and quickly release the volume up button, press and quickly release the volume down button, then press and hold the side button. When the Apple logo appears, release the button.

Do you have any special keyboards set up? There is no way you should have the dot comma and dash either.

Settings, General, Keyboard.

You will need to post a Screen shot. I don't have that on any of mine.

By the way you could have tapped on the hour or minutes box and dragged your finger right down the screen to scroll to the numbers you wanted.
