eBay refund

Hi, I had a refund by a seller on eBay for something that I had brought using Apple Pay it was £99 the refund was for £50, in my bank after 3 working days there was no £50 and it was also not in my PayPal account which I also have I spoke with the seller and it definitely came out and to put more confusion on the matter I had a email from eBay to say I had received it ,so I really need help to fine out what is going on please
