if they are adjacent to each other, yes. open your sidebar, hover over the site at the bottom of the list. hold the shift key and click your mouse. then, while still holding the shift key, hover over the site at the top of the list and click your mouse. then you can release the shift key. you should then have a group of bookmarks that are highlighted. click your delete key and they will disappear.

i just tested that. i could not delete anything from the HTML bookmarks list. so what you would need to do to accomplish having only the selected portion of the list imported, would be to open the HTML file and click each individual site, opening the page, and add a bookmark for each one site by site. or you could import the entire list, which will appear in it's own folder, and delete the ones you originally wanted to exclude from the imported list. either way, your existing bookmarks will not be affected. i'm going to keep following this thread incase someone knows of an easier way to do that. :)
yes, if they are in an exported HTML file, go to Safari Menu > File > Import From > Bookmarks HTML File. then locate the file and import them.
Bingo! My problem was I didn't hit the physical delete Key!!
Thank you. Next question: Can I drag and drop a group of Bookmarks from an exported HTML file?
I only want to select a portion of the list and not loose my bookmarks that reside in Safari will this enable me to do this?
That's pretty much what I discovered. I dropped the list into a WORD document to try to edit but each bookmark tried to open. Couldn't use Text to edit. Back to the drawing board.
