How do I activate noise cancellation with my Apple air pro pods

Thanks, but even with all iPhone settings matching your Bluetooth example, and hearing what ANC is suppose to in the sample, mine still has nothing to block out distracting noise. I’m disappointed in my newly purchased ear pods. I can’t figure it out.
