I created an Apple ID in family sharing for my child several months ago and I thought everything was fine, but tonight I found out that he has access to my Game Center and all of my game progress overwrites his game progress (or vice versa) if we play the same games. I cannot figure out 1) why we are using the same Game Center ID when his iPad is signed into his Apple ID and 2) how to get him signed out of my Game Center and in to his own
On your son's iPad, try going to Settings/Game Center, and sign out the account that is there. Then sign in with his Apple ID.
