Updated my xs max to iOS 14.7 and now it says my faceID is disabled and there’s a problem with my true depth camera. Never had an issue prior to this. Anyone know how to remedy this issue without resetting my whole phone ??

Yes says to turn off the phone or bring it to an Apple store to reset it. I’m asking for actual troubleshooting resolutions to not lose all my saved info and passwords when resetting whole phone isn’t guaranteed to fix this issue.

What do you think itunes and icloud backup are for?
That is an Apple supported link don't you think if there was a troubleshooting tip, it would be stated in that link?
I have had the same issue and Apple could not fix it. They have deleted my previous two messages and I am not sure why - possibly because I linked to another thread. Search for thread 252902091there are 10 others with the same issue.
It may be beneficial for everyone with the same issue to gain traction on the same thread - and a better chance of Apple Support for the issue.
Thank you! Just commented on that other thread. This is so aggravating that there’s no real resolve on this. Just wipe out your phone and cross your fingers. Great :-/
