iOS 14.7.1 update broke all cameras

Right after upgrading my iPhone XS to 14.7.1, I noticed face id was no longer working. I checked the camera app and none of the cameras work, or the flashlight. I did a full system restore back to 14.7, but it still didn’t work. I found some other threads with the exact same issues with iOS 14.5. I have a genius appointment later today.

Update: When I went to the Apple store, the genius ran the diagnostics and said the cameras failed. The only option is to spend $550 on a new phone since FaceID is so integrated into the phone. I explained that this happened immediately after installing 14.7.1, but she said it's probably a coincidence. I am convinced the update broke my cameras, so it's quite annoying being told it's just a hardware issue.

That is same issue with my iPhone XS max. I went to apple store and "genius" recommendation was buy a new phone. I have spent hours on call with apple support and all it has lead to is that you should have bought apple support. I am iPhone user since it was introduced. To be treated as nothing for loyalty is appalling. If you search forums, multiple people have exact same issue after update. It's definitely not a hardware issue as all the physical modules of camera and faceId (they are physically different units) are connected independently to motherboard.
