Have you tried your Mac wireless keyboard with your current iPad Air?
There are lots of third party, rechargeable, wireless Bluetooth keyboards that work just fine with your current iPad year and model.
I do not understand what your issues are, now?
There are rechargeable, wireless, Bluetooth keyboard cases.
There are plenty of separate, dedicated, rechargeable, Bluetooth keyboards that will work with your year wnd model iPad.
You do not necessarily need a new iPad.
Almost all year and model iPads work with a wireless, Bluetooth keyboard.
Why is this an issue for you?
You don't have to, neccessarily, to use your wireless, Bluetooth Mac keyboard,
You asked if there are keyboards that works with your year and model iPad.
I responded and stated, yes! Plenty.
What is the issue?
An iPad compatible, wireless keyboard for your year and model iPad Air will be cheaper than a new iPad.
Again, I ask what do you want to do?
A cheaper compatible keyboard or new iPad?
These are two different issues you are asking about, now.
If I traded in my iPad on the new $329 ipad, would my Mac cordless keyboard work with new iPad? If so, how do I make this trade? Need all apps transferred from old iPad to new?
