i have iphone 7 and I have heard these models have some problems which apple company accepts this issue and make responsible itself to get this phone and replace to another phone.
at first I would like to know this statement is true or not.

The link that frazzm737 has already provided you should be able to answer your questions. The trade-in program basically is invoked when purchasing a new iPhone from the online Apple Store. It gives you the option to send your current phone to a third-party evaluator that will determine its value .. which then can be applied towards the purchase of the new phone .. either directly or as a gift card.
