AMC+ charging to watch TWD

If you are seeing a price per episode, then I think it is trying to stream from the Apple iTunes Store servers — not the subscription content. That would happen if How to Watch is not configured correctly.

Alternatively, first navigate to the AMC+ Channel, then select your show and episode there.

See the details page for TWD show, then scroll to the How to Watch section, and select the content provider for which you have the subscription. If a different content provider is selected there, then Apple TV would try to load it from a different source without using that subscription.

Hey stop typing this. It isn’t helpful and we have done all the other stuff you said and it still is charging. So buzz off if you don’t know why it’s doing it.

I’ve now learned exactly why this happens: Past seasons of TWD aren’t on AMC+ anymore. Past seasons are syndicated to other content providers for subscriptions (Netflix) or sale per season or episode (e.g. iTunes Store). Only the new (upcoming) season is on AMC/AMC+. The apps and channels are working exactly as intended.
