It's hard to explain! The camera is darker than ever before. When trying to take a video, photo, portrait, or pano. It also blurs when I switch to the other selections. It is fine when the camera is turned to the front to take a selfie. It is also fine when trying to take a slow-mo or time lapse. It also works fine in other camera apps. Please see the pictures. I've reset, restarted, closed the app. Please help!

I’ve had this exact issue happen to me this week too. When it first happened I reset my phone and it went back to normal. A couple of days later and it’s doing it again. I’ve tried everything under the sun. Factory reset, resetting whole in messages bla bla bla. Hoping it’s a software issue to be fixed in the next update. Unfortunately we are locked down from any apple store for them to have a look at it. Let us know if you find a resolution
It also isn't saving the pictures when I take them. So frustrated!
What’s even crazier is sometimes when I open the camera the exposure works fine but it won’t save the picture. It’s a mess. 😩
Some additional interesting information is that the camera app still allows me to recognise QR codes. Would make me question anyone trying to tell me the phone isn’t recognising the camera anymore.
So it doesn’t work in other apps like I said before. It does the same in Snapchat. I spoke with Apple chat and they ran a diagnostic and it said that my phone is not detecting my camera and that I needed to take it to a technician. I took it to Best Buy where they work in apple phones. They told me that because it is an XS it is no longer under warranty and there is nothing they could do for it. They said I need to buy a new phone. I still owe $400 on this one! We ordered a camera online and are going to try to replace it. It’s worth a try! I wouldn’t be surprised if Apple did this purposely during these updates so we are forced to get a new phone.
