Apple watch install apps

I have an Apple Watch SE and an iPhone 6. But I cant pair the two so I have to use my Dads phone (iPhone 7) to pair however, I will get a cellular plan and want it to be paired to MY account. Now the only choice left is family sharing setup. We used this and now I want to install apps like Spotify and other apps. When I want to install apps that have a 'get' option to install its fine, but I cant install any apps with the 'view' option like Spotify. When I go on my Dads phone to install an app that he has on his phone there is not option.

I hope this is enough information and apple isn't doing this because of a Family safety thing but I would like to know how to Install apps that require a phone. Not my iPhone 6 but my dads 7 that is paired with Family Sharing.

Hello MrSnout,

Welcome to Apple Support Communities. We understand that you're having issues installing apps on your Apple Watch that was set up using your Dad's iPhone.

First, we recommend looking over Set up and pair your Apple Watch with iPhone to confirm those are the steps that were taken to set up your Apple Watch.

Then, make sure there are no restrictions enabled such as Screen Time. More information can be found from Set up an Apple Watch for a family member.

Take care.
