With NO preferences available for Quicktime, how do I get rid of the playback screen when watching my video?

Hi nancy68,
We see you have some questions regarding using QuickTime, and we'd be happy to help out.
This page has some details that may assist with your question: Open and play a file in QuickTime Player on Mac
In particular, check out the 'Play a file' section. In here it'll note, "You can play and control a file using the playback controls that appear when the pointer is over the screen." So you may wish to ensure your cursor isn't hovering over the video, in order to have those controls not appear.
Also the page will mention, "Controls for audio files are always visible."
Take care.

Thanks so much - such an easy answer! Definitely worked. Looks great on AirPlay on tv now.
