Writing numbers/numerals with Apple Pencil

I am trying to use the apple pencil and Scribble to write numbers e.g number one (1) or number eleven (11). It works with most numbers most of the time but it fails most of the time if I try to write those numbers( 1 or 11). I have tried doing a single down stroke and also a down stroke with a diagonal line at the top and a horizontal line at the bottom like they did in old English. This works a lot with the number one but fails all the time with the number eleven (usually comes out as 1l or just 1. can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong.

Thank you

Hello AlanB-D,

Thank you for posting in the Apple Support Communities. We understand that writing the number eleven doesn't appear right when using Scribble on your iPad Pro, and we'd like to offer you support and guidance.

First, consider whether this happens in one app or all compatible apps. If this happens with one app, we suggest ruling out an issue with the app itself by closing, then reopening the app, testing in a new document, restarting the iPad, and checking for updates. The Apple Support article below outlines these steps in greater detail:

If an app on your iPhone or iPad stops responding, closes unexpectedly, or won’t open

From there, turning off, then on Scribble might also help resolve unique issues. This is found in Settings > Apple Pencil > Scribble.

We hope this information is useful. Kind regards.
