Apple Pay/Apple Cash account locked for no reason

I tried adding money to Apple Cash Card balance and was greeted with an error telling me that the transaction failed and I needed to verify my ID. So I whipped out my drivers license and scanned it into the ‘Wallet’ app for Apple Cash Card verification. I don’t know how the verification failed but it did even thought I am very much 18 years old and definitely allowed to use this service. What’s weird is that my ID worked with the Apple Credit Card service but Apple Cash is giving me problems. Whatever. I call them and open up a case in which they tell me it’ll take 2 business day—I wait those 2 days and the “ApPlE CaRd SpEcIaliSt” tell me that I need to wait longer and that my account had every right to be locked due to suspicious activity. These people are holding on to my money and wasting my time and I am very much sick of it.
