epson r2400 printer

i cannot get any paper choices for the epson r2400. i use matte, semi-gloss etc and the only choice available is under paper size where for a given size it may list say epson_31, epson_32 etc, but nowhere are these explained.
Also there doesn't seem to be anywhere to choose gamma, or other options that were there under tiger. i have the latest driver confirmed as correct with epson (6.57).
the problem is there with iphoto 09, photoshop element 8, preview...
help please

The only driver available for this printer is the Gutenprint driver (http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3669?viewlocale=en_US), and Gutenprint doesn't offer the same features as the Epson driver. You may want to contact Epson to see if they have plans to support this printer in Snow Leopard. You could try installing the Epson software that came with the printer, but there's no guarantee it will work on Snow Leopard.
