Apple Watch

After charging my watch I take it off the charger and it shows that it has a low charge? The charging light turns green when hooked up and charges overnight but when I take it off the Apple charging circle the watch has the red bolt showing low battery. Does this mean that the battery is going bad or needs to be replaced? Is this something that may be covered by Apple? Thanks, Gino
